My favourite adventure so far with Rhys also known as my amazing partner.
Grab Cuppa put them warm fluffy socks on and get reading.
So there is a story behind Harry Potter and how I became such a fan. Here goes nothing, it all started when I saw Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone collecting dust on Rhys shelf. I have always been terrified of all the Harry Potter films, saying that I am scared of going upstairs in the dark on my own without putting a light on haha shh that’s a secret!
I thought I am a strong independent woman I can do this, So I put the Dvd’s on one at a time it turned into a Harry Potter triathlon, I loved them, they were fantastic.
Everything about the films is so magical it gives me chills, only if life were like the films things would be so much easier.
Having a spell for the washing up, cooking, cleaning how grand would that be? A flick of your wrist, pointing a wand and TADA! Magical.
Rhys’s Birthday was coming up and I thought why not book tickets to go to the Warner Brother Studios in London The making of Harry Potter.
I thought perfect. I booked the tickets there was a variety of different packages which included various extras. The more money you spend the more you got, I chose the gift ticket which I stupidly assumed you didn’t have to book. I rang them up just to confirm “are we allowed down whenever as we have a gift ticket?” The lady on reception sadly explained that there was a three-month waiting list I was heart broken. I still believe that I should have been born blonde.
But anyway I continued to count down the days until we finally went.
The journey was miles away, thank goodness we stayed overnight in a Hotel which meant no rushing around in the morning and having a cute lay in.
After having our lovely lay in, I got ready in my Gryffindor T-shirt ready for the day ahead. Of we go!
As Rhys drove up to the studio, I was so excited butterflies in my tummy ready for the most amazing experience.
So walking up to the entrance pictures of the films were along the side of the building which looks epic! EEEEEKK!
We had to go through security first, pat down and everything then the tour started, it was everything I imagined it would be. I felt like I was a part of the film;
Moving wands, flying letters, Butterbeer, leaky caldron, Hogwarts Express, experience riding a broomstick, knight bus, Privet Drive, Characters clothing, props, makeup.
You Name it I saw it the list is endless. Of course, I had to take selfies which you can see the excitement pouring out of our smile. Me and Rhys had such a brilliant time together. →
Everything within the building was a separate room telling a different part of the Harry Potter film. I won’t go into detail as I don’t want to bore you, Let’s just say I will be going back there. All the people that work there were so lovely and friendly and made our experience so special. Without them, i honestly don’t think it would have been that fantastic! Each staff member gave me one of their badges as I explained what a massive Harry Potter fan I was, which was so nice of them as they didn’t have to.
Last but not least was the Gift store, I spent so much money but was hundred percent worth it, You can see all the magical wonderful gifts I purchased.
-Books-Chocolate frog and Wands.
Also much much more which will always be a secret!
Hope you enjoyed reading about one of the most amazing events of my life so far!
